Offset Lithograph. Sternberg's time spent in the mines made him very aware of the dangers involved and the high rate of occupational injury and death. If you closely, you'll see that Sternberg gave one of the miners a skull for a face - no doubt a symbol of the high fatality rate of this occupation..
